A Rare and Unusual Small James I Oak Centre Table
The twin boarded top having a square edge and secured by a 8 small oak pegs. The frieze rails are decorated by a central square edge run moulding, and slightly more complicated bottom moulding.
The table is raised on very elegantly turned inverted baluster and reel-turned legs, which are joined by a deep stretcher which again has a central run-moulded decoration.
Wonderful deep, rich colour and surface.
English, circa 1620.
